I'm not quite sure if I can capture the beauty of the dream I had this morning in words, but here's goes anyways:
I am in a large, beautiful valley surrounded by mountains - some steep and rocky, others thick with trees, while others are snow-peaked, catching the golden rays of the rising sun. The valley itself is a thriving community of artists - painters, sculptures, designers of all sorts, technicians, actors, etc. I feel I am in heaven in these surroundings as I slip the needle in and out of fabric - a stunning turquoise wool coat.
Someone comes over to me and tells me that a new couple has joined the community and they have asked for me. I say that I need to finish the stitching and then I'll go to the main hall directly. I am told that it's Richard and Jen. At that, I almost leave my sewing, so eager am I to greet them, but curb the excitement and go on with my work.
By the time I walk into the hall, it is empty, and I feel great disappointment. I ask for the newcomers and am told that they have already been put to work. Richard is working with some computer technicians on developing new CGI and special effects, and Jen has been assigned to the infirmary support staff. I quickly go to find them, and someone else comes with me. He asks me how I know this couple, and I relate the story of how I met Richard, and eventually their handfasting.
We pass a movie set, where a stunning black man dressed in white pants and shirt is doing a commentary on the mountains around us. Someone tells me that Richard is working on this particular presentation, and takes me around to the far side. I see him working away at a control board of some sort, and pause to just notice how happy he looks. He sees me, and we greet each other with overwhelming joy and warm hugs. He tells me that he and Jen could not stay away from so beautiful a place. He points her out in the distance; her curly red-blond hair catching the sun. We promise to catch up later, as he gets back to his work.
On my way back to the main hall, I pause to watch the black man again. Someone hands him the coat I was working on earlier, and I am overwhelmed with the beauty of this image - black skin, white clothing, topped off with the turquoise coat that he has casually draped over his shoulders. I remember at that moment that this colour has always meant healing, and I know that some major healing was done on some very deep level. I concentrate on that, releasing the energy...
