A CIRCULAR WORKROOM, GREEN SARI, AND FRIENDLY DOGS

I am in a large round room, and all equipment is set out in a circle - desks, computers, monitors, etc.. I am partnered with someone whom I cannot see distinctly but I know I need to work closely with. Further, I am in charge of training this person.

We sit down at one of the larger desks, because in addition to the computer, we need to spread a lot of papers around. One of these is a cross-stitch pattern that's done on two big sheets of paper. (I don't recall what the main picture was about but do remember that the outside was a border of violet flowers and green leaves.) One sheet is missing and I tell my partner to look for it. He (yes, now I see that it's a young man) looks mystified at my request and at the pattern, but I again direct him on finding the other piece.

It appears that it is now the next morning, and at my desk, I find that both pieces are neatly clipped together. As I sit down and look around, I also discover that the work place has now been expanded to include sewing machines and a lot more people. Again, my work partner comes to me and inquires about the pattern and how to work it - I explain it to him, and instruct him to find the appropriate threads. As he leaves and I sit down, I am surprised to see that I am wearing my green sari. "This is totally inappropriate!", I think to myself. "I don't even remember putting this on this morning!" No one else seems to be concerned about it and so making sure it's tucked in securely, I toss the end over my shoulder and begin my work.

Not for long, though, because at this stage two dogs come bounding into the room. One is like a small St. Bernard, who immediately takes a liking to me, and the other is a German Shepherd, who exhibits jealousy and vies for my attention. I try to pet them both, but like the St. Bernard more, and eventually the other dog finds another person to give it undivided attention.

My last view of this workroom is rather strange - it's as though I see it both in 1st person and 3rd person at once. I am both seated at my desk adjusting the sari again, and at the door watching myself seated at my desk adjusting the sari. This lasts for an instant, and I am now fully at the door and walking out as I wake up.
