A FASHION SHOW

So last night I had this dream:  I am with a group of people who are laying down a red carpet outside.  Inside, the building is old, rather run-down and certainly not in any a theatre.  This puzzles me, but I just go along with it.  Knowing that the other people are more effective in putting down the carpet than I am, I explore the inside further and find a room that has a lot of outfits in it - not quite costumes, but very nice, complete outfits of various styles.  I am immediately seized with a desire to do a fashion show and at the same time I understand that these all came from a certain second-hand shop.

It doesn't take much to organize everything, and I run outside to tell someone.  The first person I speak to is a young man who  tells me that the event is actually going to take place outside, and indeed I see the tables and chairs being set up on either side of the red carpet.  There are also large umbrellas for shade and large potted plants.  Soon the property is beautifully arranged to entertain a large group in an elegant yet casual manner.

I speak excitedly to the young man and tell him my plans.  Another organization that is looking for a fundraiser could provide people to be models, the second hand store from where the outfits came (including a beautiful wedding dress) would get recognized, and the guests at this event would be the perfect audience and donors to a very worthy cause!  The entire plan gets put into motion very quickly.

In the way of dreams, things blur and fast forward.  I am now "backstage", in that frantic wonderful world of assisting everyone into their outfits and keeping everything running smoothly.  The young girl is resplendent in the wedding gown, and is ready to go out there and bring the grand finale to a wildly successful event.  She steps out onto the red carpet to loud applause and appreciation of the audience...
