Unfortunately, I cannot remember many details of last night's dream. What I do remember is more of the mood and emotions that it evoked. Here's what I can remember:
I am in a university setting, either registering for classes or just between classes. I have to go outside and into another building. It is very, very dark outside - no streetlights, or illuminated windows, no moon or stars overhead. I can barely see the shapes of the trees and buildings around me, but I am familiar with the path, and begin to confidently walk along it. It occurs to me that it is also empty, with nobody else around, and I find this strange.
As I walk along, I sense that there are people ahead, and in spite of myself, I feel some relief. However, it is very short-lived, because in a flash, I am overcome by a group.
This is all I can remember clearly - the rest of the dream was a jumble of images of the classic neck-biting and blood-letting. I seem to recall that this group was led by a woman, a matriarch of sorts, but all of them, including their leader, appeared to be rough and uncouth. Somewhere along the line, the term "Hillbilly Vampires" was mentioned. Predominant colours were black with splashes of vibrant red, but given the nature of this dream, that was to be expected. Somehow, as the dream went on, it began to acquire elements of comedy.
Fear and unease were the main emotions at the beginning, giving way to resignation (not sure if I actually was "turned", killed, or left untouched), and finally laughter.
